ISA SWISS began producing watch movements in the 50ies under the name: FABRIQUE D’EBAUCHES de SONCEBOZ, which made mechanical watch movements.
In 1980 FABRIQUE D’EBAUCHES de SONCEBOZ took the turn of the quartz trend. The stop of the manufacture of mechanical movements was a few years later.
As a result of various acquisitions of production units, ISA GROUP was created. The group developed mainly in the production of quartz movements 6¾ in large quantities until 2005.
In 2006 ISASWISS decided to stop producing large quantities of economic movements. The group renamed to ISASWISS WATCH MECHANISMS and ISASWISS refocuses its activity on the production of complicated quartz movements with high value added and possibilities of customization.
ISASWISS headquarters is located in Les Brenets in Switzerland on the Jura Mountains right where the first Swiss watch makers started to build Swiss watches.
Ronda is an established Swiss-based company that has its roots in the Basel region. The company was founded by William Mosset in the area’s Waldenburg Valley in 1946, and is now headquartered in Lausen.
Ronda has expanded steadily over the years, and the Ronda Group today includes five subsidiary operations: two production facilities in Southern Switzerland, one in the Jura region of Western Switzerland, a manufacturing facility in Thailand and a sales office in Hong Kong. All in all, Ronda employs over 1,800 personnel in its Swiss and Asian operations.
Torgoen purchases Ronda movements from their Swiss manufacturing facilities.
Swiss movement manufacturer ETA SA has been developing and producing movements for the watch industry since 1793. This expertise laid the foundations for the emergence of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of watches and movements. Everybody familiar with the watch industry cannot miss the name ETA.
ETA SA is headquartered in Grenchen Switzerland is owned by The Swatch Group Ltd.
