A Helicopter That Defined an Era
The Bell UH-1 Iroquois, or "Huey," became the backbone of U.S. military aviation through the Vietnam War and beyond. First developed in response to the need for a more versatile utility helicopter, the Huey proved invaluable in troop transport, medical evacuation, aerial attack, and rescue operations. It was first deployed in March 1962 for combat operations in Vietnam, where it quickly became essential to U.S. forces. Over 16,000 were produced, with more than 7,000 deployed in Vietnam alone. With its unmistakable rotor sound and unparalleled adaptability, the Huey became an enduring symbol of courage, survival, and military innovation.
HANDS
The second hand, designed to emulate the Huey's rotor blades, moves in a continuous 360-degree sweep to capture the essence of its flight. The hour and minute hands take inspiration from the aircraft’s blade shape, a subtle yet powerful tribute to its iconic design.
MOVEMENT
The T56 Huey features a 24-hour GMT track, a nod to the Huey’s around-the-clock mission capabilities, from combat operations to emergency rescues. The applied “Star & Bar” marker at 12 o’clock pays homage to the aircraft’s military heritage.

CASE BACK
The stainless steel caseback features an embossed Huey helicopter emblem, celebrating the aircraft’s lasting impact across military and civilian missions.
