In celebration of all the pilots that have helped Miracle Flights patients reach life saving medical care over the last 35 years, 11-year old Amanda Jiminez, who has been flown by Miracle Flights 17 times since 2015, gifted Thrive Aviation Pilot Shaun McQuain with a Torgoen Watch.
The gifting ceremony took place last month on National Aviation Day.
For three years, Amanda Jiminez suffered from unpredictable seizures caused by a rare form of epilepsy that she is one of only 32 people to have been diagnosed with. Her condition left her homebound for most of elementary school, during which she missed 1st through 3rd grades.
Because of the access to medical care that Miracle Flights have provided her with, Amanda is now seizure free, back in school full time and making good grades.
Miracle Flights is a national charity that provides more than 600 free flights each month to families around the country to reach life-changing medical care far from home. Torgoen is a proud to support Miracle Flights. Click here to learn more (link to landing page)
